Aimpoint Zeroing Question

I just got a new Comp M2 in the mail. Nice piece of kit, but it didn't come with a manual though.

When I took off the caps on the adjustment dials I was surprised to see one marked U-L and the other marked U-R (with arrows pointing in those directions) I expected to see the normal Up-Down on one, and Left-Right on the other.

Are these marking what they appear to be? If I turn the one dial in the direction marked U-R will the impact point move up and right at the same time?

Is there a special technique to zero this sight?

Here is a quick way to adjust any optics. Now as long as you got it pointed in the correct direction, your good to go.
Think of it as a screw that your gonna screw into a board. Elevation first, you screw it in the poa moves down, un screw it , and the poa moves up.
Windage, screw it in poa moves left, un screw it poa moves right.
Now I am not sure on these aim point jobs, should be the same.

For my new Aimpoint, just received - not yet used - to move point of impact right turn windage screw CCW; to move up turn elevation screw CCW.

Added note: The instruction above applies to Aimpoint mounted as recommended for a right handed shooter, i.e., rotated in the mounting ring so that the battery compartment is upper right (at 2 o'clock as seen from the rear). For a left handed shooter, the battery compartment should be upper left (at 10 o'clock as seen from the rear). In the case of the left handed set-up: to move point of impact right turn windage screw CW; elevation adjustment same as above for right handed installation.
What appears to be odd marking on the adjusting screws makes sense when you consider the right or left handed set-ups.
