Air Force Air Gun?

I just bought one and it arrived on Friday. I haven't even had a chance to fire it yet. I've got a chronograph so I'll be checking it out thoroughly. Have you checked out some of the vids on youtube? This thing will shoot pellets through two 2x4's. WOW

Condor, scuba tank, leapers scope, bipod and three different weight of pellets to try out. I might pick up a pump, I'll have to see how the scuba tank works out.

Yes, top one in the pic is my Talon of course and it's .22. It shoots at +1000fps but I have it dialed down to 850fps as it's too loud in the house. I have had it for 7 years now and it still shoots as well now as it did then. Keep the rubber o-rings properly lubed up with silicone divers grease (and nothing else) and you are good to. There are several excellent forums dedicated entirely to the Talon and Condor. Its also a great tinkerers rifle. Lots to make and adjust and experiment under the excellent supervision of the Talon/Condor forums.

I would get the .22 Condor and a scuba tank. There is no other satisfactory combination unless you go for a CARBON FIBRE tank from AirHog in the States. Any other combination will be disappointing and you will regret it for the rest of your life.
But really, the Condor is a fabulous gun. You can dial in power for whatever occasion arises and for accuracy, well...you will never be able to out shoot this gun. Unfortunately they didn't have this model when I bought my Talon. Even the Talon is an exceptional piece of engineering. As a takedown rifle it doesn't get much better. The scope always stays on so no more loosing zero. The ability to customize this black rifle, and it is a black rifle!, is a really big plus.
You won't regret buying one thats for sure. And BTW, DO NOT even consider a hand pump for this rifle. If your worried about not enough compressed air for a trip in the bush, you can buy a spare tank. Shots per fill depends on how high you have the power turned. At a reasonably destructive level you can get maybe 50-75 shots. Its not even an issued to be concerned about. I would stay with .22 and shoot Kodiaks with it. The heavier the better. The punch factor really is scary. There is only one other rifle in my collection that can outpower the Condor and that is my Sumatra at the bottom of the pic (the ugly one). That gun is too scary to discuss on this forum. It actually glows with power. You need a special licence just to own one!

I haven't started my shopping yet... but would most likely import it from the US... I'm torn between the .22 in co2 (I have plenty of that stuff in bulk) or the new UIT model, to practice 3P at home...

I bought 2 tanks from a scuba shop brand new for $200 a piece. You don't need two. I just wanted to have a backup. The tanks cost $6 to fill, again at a scuba shop. If no scuba shops around check with the fire dept and see where they get there tanks filled. When you buy a PCP gun you need to get various accessories for your method of filling. Airforce Airguns have all the adapters you will need. Any good dealer will make sure you are totally setup for filling and refilling. There are universal fitting for things like scuba tanks and regulators and then their are gun specific fittings that only work with your gun. Each manufacturer have their own proprietary fittings unique to their guns but they all end up have a universal fitting at the end that sticks into scuba tanks or hand pumps.
SillyMike, I got mine in the States. Airguns of Arizona are excellent to deal with and have loads of experience dealing with Canadian orders. They ship here regularly. When the dollar was good last year I bought 2 PCP guns from the States (Airguns of Arizona). When the dollar went t**s up I started buying in Canada again. Airgun Source is one Canadian company. I bought my Sumatra from them last fall. Also excellent to deal with.

Stay away from gases like Co2. Much easier and less expensive with compressed air and lots of dive shops around to get them filled. As far as ammo goes, bigger/heavier is better for more stability and longer shots as they are less likely to be influenced by air currents/wind. They are also better for hunting.
Go for it. You will just love that rifle. It is SOooooooo powerful, it will blow you away.

I own a condor and several PAL rated pcps like sumatra, s16 and 50 cal career dragon. The condor is still my favorite and is worth investing a carbon fiber tank to get the most fun and number of shots.

This fellow, folks, has a good deal to offer in the field of PCP and most airgunning in general.
Here's my AirForce Condor and she's a beauty 8). All I can say is "WOW" and my springers will now be left in the dark closet cause I got myself a new girlfriend :lol: . Anyway, I'm impressed as to how accurate and powerful it is. I just started to plink with it to see what it can do out of the box and here are a few pics (forgive the quality as they where from a Blackberry camera).

Solid 1" plywood at about 100 yards out. Setting at 2800psi and PW 12/1. Using .22 Beeman Kodiak 21.10gr pellets. Them groundhogs can't hide from me...
The "C" was shot at about 75 yards and the "D" was at about the 100yard range off my knee, no bi-pod or shooting bag. I'd say this is rifle good enough for groundhogs right out of the box at full setting.
