Air Gage Testing/M1 Garand

Gentlemen,
These photo's show part of the Air Gage checking for gas leakage. Checking by machine gives Ordnance a better way to test the M1 Garand.

If you check the file date it is data in 1948.

Some data has been posted before others have not.

Neat never thought about checking a gas operated rifle like that, interesting.

I don't know if they did this before 1948, perhaps it was a testing procedure they used to recondition the M1's that may have been worn down ??
