So I bought two air pistols recently. They are co2 and I am loving them. Why?

1. Dirt cheap. $100 gets you a decent air pistol.
2. I made a range in the basement, the GF and friends love it. It seems like a "bridge" for non firearms users.
3. I can buy pistols that are prohibited in their "real" from. Both the pistols I have would illegal in a real pistol. 4" barrel omg, so dangerous!
4. I can bring these pistols with me camping or to the cottage.

Yeah I have real firearms, but suddenly I am really enjoying these almost more. Relax, I said almost.

Anyway, I was wondering where are some good sites to buy theses bad boys from? I bought one from amazon.ca and one from replica air guns.ca. I have also found air gun source.ca

Next one I want to get is a pellet gun rather than a bb gun. CO2, pump, air, it doesn't matter. Let me know where you buy them online or where a good spot in the Ottawa area would be to go to a walk in store. Canadian tire is about all I can find and the selection is limited.

Cheers!

^ interesting I seem to have missed that one . I will check out some reviews. Thanks.

Love the Beretta pellet guns but at $250 I just think heck I could add $100 and get a real pistol haha.

I have a weakness for air rifles and pistols. Don't use them much, but are okay to blaze away in the basement.

Yeah, sometimes shooting airguns is *almost* same fun, since you can shoot things other than paper targets, plus save a trip to the range. Pretty much there is an exact replica for every real gun model. I know some people buy replicas counterparts to train in between shooting sessions of real thing. Some of them have exact same weight, trigger pull and even blowback, so you can't see much a difference except of a bit smaller holes in a paper.

If you want to have that feeling shooting a prohib, some of those air guns can even go full auto. Just for fun, I was thinking about this:

Fun for kids, I can guess. Full auto, velocity is just twice less than real 1911, so it can spectacularly destroy or knock down small objects. Unopened soda cans is the most fun.

But keep in mind: in many ways of the law it is still considered as a firearm, especially if you do wrong things with it. You can't shoot air guns in city or parks. So, crown land or your basement is the only legal place. Careful with that, or you might loose your PAL for that damn thing not to mention other bad consequences. Of course range is also a place, if you don't mind to be laughed at, but I would rather shoot real thing once I get there anyways.

Well you would have to be insane to shoot some of these BB / pellet pistols in a city park thats for sure... it would probably result in your death. I agree tho I am enjoying the few I have and will probably get a few more.

I have a large-ish basement where I set up a range, also family cottage and I took one camping this summer no problem. Sad when I was a kid (although in Belleville not a big city) I shot and used my low powered BB rifle in my back yard no issues. My buddy at the cottage had that old school crossman pistol, he would walk around with it, came to call on me, I would take my bb gun and we would plink for hours. Of course this was mid 90's before the world went insane. I guess everyone thinks the world went insane "as soon as they grew up" and they look back on their childhood and think "that was the last moment of sanity"...

Side note: there have been 3 shootings in Ottawa in 3 days... also an increased report of break ins in the city...

They have some good prices, did they end up charging you a reasonable shipping charge? Only other website that wouldn't tell me what the shipping price was, was a pretty bad surprise once.

I have ended up buying about 4 different rifles and pistols from them and found them to be all-round excellent in terms of knowledge, customer service, pricing and shipping. They use Canada Post and ship daily so always found the costs to be lower than what I am used to in comparison to other places.

Put in an order for two pistols... they have basically the best prices online... will post pics later just for fun.

I had ordered a Makarov air pistol from "Replica Airguns.com" last month... they sent me the wrong pistol, and kinda gave me the run around on returning it, wouldn't say for sure if I would be charged a re-stocking fee or if the pistol I actually wanted was in sock etc... Wasn't impressed with their customer service, I just rolled my eyes and decided it was less trouble to keep the pistol. I ended up enjoying the one I got fine, so no big deal... however if you screw me once I will NEVER order from you again. So Specialty Shooting Sports just got my money instead lol.
