Air Rifle HUNTING PICS! Post your pics here!

Go on you-tube and type in air rifle rat hunting. Now they have rats! It's said that if you're in London you're within 20ft of a rat at any given time. They bait them and shoot at night literally dozens of them........................Harold ****PS springer going subsonic don't last very long and are much more hold sensitive than sensible speeds. It comes down to marketing and the companies all exagerate or use trick/light pellet to acheive the speed that with continued use will wreck your gun.I'd rather hit something where i'm aiming at 750fps than to be off target at 1000.....................Harold**** all rabbits should be headshot with air rifles if youv'e ever tried otherwise you know what I'm talking about

Sorry for the slow reply...

The Full-Powered HW50S in .177cal shoots at about 12ftlbs or 800fps with a 7.9gr Pellet..

The mounts I'm using are UK SportMatch Medium. The rear mount has a recoil pin that fits in one of the three arrestor holes on the receiver...

is that a 1337? it must be moded, whats the fps on that thing?

iono bout that, i've never owned one but im pretty sure its a 1377 and I doubt 400 fps is enough to take out a squirrel with a body shot

unless you're being sarcastic... can never tell over the net

Hey Guys...

Personally I think Boiler room shot is more deadly than a head shot.. I've blown the snout off a few rats because the little bugger didn't hold still long enough with his head bobbing around.. A boiler room shot right behind the front leg is a kill shot as long as you get into the rib cage.. Might take it a little longer to die,, but if you miss the brain,, you risk injuring the thing.. You simply have a larger target area in the chest, either heart or lungs...

With a critter who isn't sitting perfectly still the chest is the best option in my opinion...

Hey Rob...

"Air guns are illegal to use for hunting over here in Quebec, unfortunately."

Even on high powered air rifles ??

Would you have a link to that ??

1377 is .177 the 1322 is a .22 caliber, hence the picture of the .22 pellet tin in the corner. Even a .177 @ 400 FPS would do the job. An extra hundred will do it better. I had the C02 version of that pistol in .22 and it packed a wallop for sure. It's dead now but those bigger pellets had quite a bit of energy on anything it hit.

Here is pic from when I had my 2289. It was shooting ~650 FPS with 15 pumps w/24 inch barrel/FTP/valve porting.

This shots were thru and thru @ 20 yards

That can Easily be rebuilt...

Allot of times it's just a matter of tearing down and giving it a good cleaning...

I had one that wouldn't shoot..All that was wrong with it was a pin head sized piece of tin from the powerlet blocking the valve...

D&L Airguns in Canada has Complete rebuild kits for them...

You could get that old girl running again....

Good shooting guys, here's a few pics of some of the outings I've had.

Some Pest Control over at my buddy's place.. taking care of his grackle problem.. They drop their egg sacks in his pool, it's insane.. Hundreds of grackles constantly flying over head swooping down in his pool dropping their crap all day long, this goes on for weeks lol.. it really makes a mess of pool and deck area..

Here's a video of another squirrel being taken at 35 yards with the Diana48 .22 Iron Sites.. This is GRAPHIC so if you don't like seeing some blood, don't watch.. After getting drilled square in the chest it ran for 15yards before dropping.. He didn't even know he was dead yet. If you turn up the volume you can hear the sound of the pellet whacking him.. In my area the squirrels get out of hand, they make their way into the garage attic and really make a mess of things..

About 10 years ago I was housesitting for a friend of mine who was stateside, didn't I have some problem with stupid birds nesting and s**tting all over his house, the darned eaves weren't secure so the bloody things would get in, not be able to get out, nest in there, crap and die in there, they were even getting stuck inside his furnace , I shot quite a few of the stupid birds in and around his roof, I cleaned out a few nests etc; I might sell him one of my airguns out of pity; that is; if his wife lets him have one, :D and he's in the city, but he made it clear to me he didn't mind me shooting them, this was before I was aware of all the stupid restrictions on even firing a damned pellet gun in city limits.

for the sake of interest, I used mainly my Webley Tempest and even killed a bird with a Lakefield Mossberg MK I single shot .22 bolt action with one of those funky 1970's bushnell scopes with the integral dovetail and base.
