Air Skinning

I've seen guys do this successfully. I've also seen a lot of torn meat from other guys trying to do it.

Personally, I'll stick with my knife. 5-10 minutes and I'm all done. To each, their own.

i use na knife too. just when i saw it the first time i was in aww.

Yoteboy and his fur business partner of the time tried it. From his report coyotes blew up like distorted hairy ballons, but when deflated weren't one bit easier to skin than the never inflated ones.

Yeah it's was more of a novelty than anything else. Old male coyotes are brutally bad sometimes and need a winch to peel them. A winch makes life easier. The less knife work on a coyote the better.

I have used it only on lamb makes it so much easier, 22 to the back of the head but we do around 6 to 8 lambs at the same time so air skinning is great.

tried it with deer, cooled them off enough to make finishing the job unpleasant in cooler weather

Has anyone tried air skinning an animal? If so will a manual air pump work? I've seen a couple of youtube videos and looks like it would make the skinning part much easier.

This seams like more work and hassle than just using a half decent blade but try it out and post how it works
