Airforce Condor/Talon good? Bad?

So I find myself interested in a good quality airgun, probably in 22 cal. (I am open to 177 and 25 though, reccomendations?) I have always liked the styling of these guns but have never had the chance to hold one. I am wondering from those that have, would you buy again if you had a do over? Whats the good, bad, and ugly with these rifles? I Know what they cost. I also scuba dive so filling from a tank is no problem whatsoever, actually kinda handy. Guns purpose would be some minor target shooting, but mostly hunting small game (gophers, rabbits, porcupines, etc).

I have a 2nd generation Condor, I bought used from a guy in Edmonton. The nice thing about these rifles is caliber change. If you want to go from .22 to .25, all you do is swap the barrel. If you go to a Condor/Talon specific forum, you'll find a lot of people have converted their Condors to .257 and up. Mine currently is a .35. Innards were custom made by a friend. In July I bought a 4th generation frame from the U.S. to install my .25 barrel on. A few of us in Alberta have Condors ranging from .25 to .35. At our shoots, there's usually almost half a dozen Condors on the range. Hope this helps.

The condor is one of the better airguns out there for high power. .22 would be the smallest I'd recommend- a .177 condor is....well there are better options. For hunting with airguns bigger is better- .25 or bigger would be recommended for the critters you are looking at. I don't have a condor- mostly because I don't hunt much with airguns and spend all my time on targets, so my most powerful gun is in the 20ft-lbs range- well below what would be needed for larger critters and way below your average Condor. They have lots of air and can be tuned up to ridiculous power levels.

Since you already have scuba air you are golden to enter the PCP airgun world- your wallet is probably weeping right now (or will be soon)!
 
my condor is in .25 and wow what a thumper.
the talon is a prohib in Canada (pretty sure) as it has a shrouded barrel and baffles that lower the report the rifle makes.
 
I have a Talon in .177 and .25, it is the Talon SS that has baffles.

So I finally got around to purchasing a condor. Comes in .25 cal with an additional .22 barrel and a hill air pump. Eagerly awaiting its arrival, should be at post office next week.
 
Just a quick update, got some range time in and getting about 2-3" groups @ 100yds. That's off a not too stable bench(plastic folding table). I'm sure with a bit more try those could be shrunk a bit. I have not done any tuning at all, shooting it the way it was set up when I got it.

The boy(13) and I had no problem ringing the gong (16") offhand at that distance.

25 cal, shooting beeman Kodak 31gr pellets. At that distance they blow right through 3/8 plywood. I wish I would have set up the chrono.

The only complaint I have is it is uncomfortable to get a good sight picture, I need higher scope mounts.
 
Any of you guys ever deal with talon tunes? Some of their stuff looks interesting. Top hat, hammer, tank adapter with pressure gauge, etc. Can we get their stuff shipped to Canada?
