Airgun Recommendation (Pest Control)

This is by far the simplest option. I didn't realize .22 shorts are so quiet, I thought they'd still crack.
It's been a while -- you can shoot .22 shorts in a regular .22 right? I'm 99% confident you can, but again, it's been a while.
Depends on the 22. Some will not feed 22 shorts. Bolt actions, particularly the tube fed ones or single shots, no problems. - dan

Pick them up by the tail, they won't spray if they don't have the back feet on the ground. That's how my dad caught his pet skunk 80 odd years ago. My dad and my brother did the same thing 50 yrs ago with a baby but as soon as he touched down in the five gallon pail (with both of them intently watching) he hosed them, and how. No pet skunk for us as kids.

I recently made the decision to sell my Diana M48 side c0cking air rifle in 22 and keep my Gamo Swarm, whilst swapping the fixed 4x from the Gamo to the Diana & the Hawke 2-7x32 to the Gamo.

The main reasons I went this route were, repeating ability of the Swarm vs the single shot Diana AND, the Diana was way heavier and harder to hold on to due to it's weight & no checkering of the stock, as well as the accuracy being the same.

Cabelas puts the Gamo Swarm on sale every now & then... And someone asked about the pellet feeding system on the Swarm, mine has been flawless so far.

Here's a 20m target I shot the other day when I sighted the Swarm in with the Hawke scope.

Depending on the pests you are mentioning, you may also be bumping up against the WL Act, Migratory Birds Convention Act, SARA, and what have you.
Rats and Pigeons are one thing, crows, Ravens, and Magpies another.
Careful there.
Crows and magpies are not protected under the Mig bird act. What act protects them where you live?

The OP is on Vancouver Island. Same as me.
No magpies here. And they were covered under the migratory bird Treaty act but maybe not anymore. They are in the US anyway.
Crows are fair game I guess.
Both are Sched C under the WA so I guess if people want to kill them, then they can do so without fear of prosecution.
A lot of people seem to think ravens are fair game. That’s what I meant to emphasize.
Probably on my mind cuz in my community, there is a lot of raven conflict and its pretty divisive.
