I just received a Crosman combo package air rifle. What the item description left out was that the scope included had a fixed paralax set at 15 yards!

Trying to plink at 30-40 yards just gives me a headache with the target being so fuzzy.

I have an extra Leupold Rifleman scope sitting around, but I don't want to risk wrecking it by using it on an airgun.

Does anybody have a recommendation as to what brand I could look at to get a nice, reliable airgun scope?

I've been browsing the DL airgun site, but have no experience when it comes to airguns.

Thanks for your time.

I put a Tasco Red Dot on my Diana 34 just for fartin' around in the basement. It has only been on for a week or two but it's holding up well so far. I think I will most likely put a scope with some magnification on it in the near future cuz my old eyes aren't what they used to be. Most likely a Tasco 2x7 or a Bushnell Banner 1.75x4.

You can get some nice Leapers scopes from D&L. I have a couple of the side parallax adjusts. One on a Talon in .25 and one on a custom QB78 PCP in .22. Also have a Leapers front parallax adjust on a Phantom .22 full power.

Never had a problem with any of my Leapers scopes. Most of my airguns are HPA or PCP though. Only one Leapers on a springer and it has help up fine. I do prefer the side parallax though. Much easier to adjust and read ranges. Then compensate with mil dots or turret clicks. The side parallax scope also has a locking ring to loosen/tighten turrets for adjusting. As compared to the front parallax that requires an allen key to loosen/tighten.
