Airguns in the USA

I'm thinking of buying a nice, quality air pistol for target and trigger practice. Does anyone know if they can be brought back and forth from the USA or the regulations therein? Sub 500fps of course.

If the gun does not exceed 500 FPS then it is not considered a firearm by the firearm centre. There are no restrictions exporting airguns from the US. You can phone the firearm centre and they will give you the registration number on air guns that are not restricted from import. You can give this to Canada Customs at import if you have any problems. The only problem you may have is with replica air guns(not airsoft)

Thanks for the info...I should have mentioned I'll be traveling back and forth across the Line with it monthly.....I'm assuming as long as it is declared, it should not be an issue....just a bit more time at the crossing maybe?

I'm not so worried about the canadian laws, just the US side.
