Ak-107

No recoil full auto does end the stopping power debate. The AK-107 can sit beside my AA-12 in my underground cache.

The gas in the gas tube goes forward and backwards, 2 gas pistons going in opposite directions. Not over-complicated really.

Civilian model is apparantly already out:

Whether its not an AK47 variant or not, who knows, but I'd buy one!

If they market it as an AEK 971 semi, it might clear the prohib zone...but if they go by the principle of operation, it has not changed much from an AK, except for the weight on the top.

Ak-107 is not the same rifle with AEK-971.

The 107 is an Izmash designed Ak, with the recoil balanced like in the AEK-971. The 971 is complete different rifle design, from the Ak and is designed and built by Degtyarev plant. That's the company that designed the DP-28 mg PPSh.

I don't see how Izmash could export the balanced AK107 as a product of a completely different company. The chances of that flying with our retarded RCMP lab is about zero.

THe newest version of the AEK-971, on the other hand, would be worth a try. It's deferent enough from AK to have a chance:
