Ak 47

For some reason no matter how real it looks if it's air soft it's still lame. I would rather pay more for a dewat if it's a wall hanger lol just my opinion!

So you'd take a stiff piece of steel with no moving parts over a full steel bb gun that looks the exact same and has plinking power?

I love dewats too but airsoft is a good alternative as well.

:sok2:ang...How low the oppressive laws have driven us here in :canadaFlag:-istan, when we have to grovel for and actually pine for a pellet gun that looks like an AK...

+1 on airsoft if its only a wall hanger, and you dont care about having a gas piston or bolt. they make some really nice perfect replicas in the form of airsoft guns. real wood and steel. and half the price of the deactivated ones. and you can plink! RealSword makes the best looking ak47's other brands make 74's as well.

Some airsoft AK's take down and actually do have a bolt, gas piston and all those parts. I know some of the G&G ones did.. I don't play airsoft anymore or actively buy/sell, so I ended up hanging a G&G AK104 on the wall because I don't use it anymore. Lame or not, it still looks good. I don't even have a battery for it anymore to use it. :(

At the end of the day, I'd rather pay a heck of a lot less for an airsoft wallhanger then a deactivated wallhanger.

I know virtually nothing about this, so apologies if this is a stupid question.
What is the difference between dewat and deactivated. I heard the terms, but do no know exactly what they mean. Are they precisely defined in terms of what was done to the firearm?
I also hear people talking about "#### and click"? What is that, and does it differ from the above?
Thanks.

First is the same , just a slang term.

second is the old standard of deactivated.
Now they dont #### or click...not sure what % more dead..

Marstar AK74 on the wall...

Me rikey!... Me rikey very much!

I was thinking about ordering surplus ammo from Marstar just to get in on their Deact deals if still available... Like the VZ61 Skorpion too. (Shipping to Ontario must be completely cost prohibitive though)

But just to clarify though as Im really not familiar with this stiff. Is EVERYTHING on them virtually welded solid??

Yes beware of Marstar shipping and handling cost.

They are so preposterous its laughable.

Most of it is welded solid as per the latest deactivation guidelines but the safety moves, the trigger works when the safety is off, the receiver cover is removable as well as the magazine, cleaning rod and muzzle brake.

Not really, have ordered from them twice, $43 to ship a pair of rifles via UPS and $31 to ship ammo via Canpar (who charges extra fee's for explosives), no separate "handling fee" on either order. I felt that both were very reasonable, maybe you're just cheap?

Shipping a crate for me (QC) was like 100$. F that.
