12(2 through 5) prohibs can be taken out of your house. You just cannot get authorization to take them to a range to shoot.
You can take them to a show, to a business, etc.
As far as what one is worth, I suspect that a Norinco commercial civilian rifle would be at the bottom of the scale.

When I bought my Nork AK ( it was non restricted back then) I think it cost $475 and came with a 75rd drum and a couple of 30 rd mags.

Now the mags and drum are pinned and the AK is lovingly stored until the inevitable arrival of the zombpocalypse.

No way would I buy another one for $750...that's insane.

AK's have been going for that in the US now since Obama came around... they're just starting to come back down to reality prices of $500 and a bit lower if you can find them .

And 7.62 ammo ? Haven't fired my AK in months - can't find it anywhere .

This is a tough question. The people who sell them justify artificiallty high prices by saying they are no longer importable. The ever shrinkiing pool of eligible buyers say that since they are prohibs (and can't at the moment be LEGALLY shot anywhere) the prices should be much lower.

Time will tell which of these views previal.

Yes, you're right! But the authorities are not granting the ATT's to anyone, and Liberally appointed judges (I'm sure) who have heard the court challenges to date have gone out of their way to justify the above action(s).
