guys , I am planning to get myself a Chinese AK platform rifle chambered in 5.56x45 NATO . It is not named as NORINCO or POLYTECH , rather it bears the name HILINK as its name or description . These rifles come in 3 configurations ie full stock , under-folding and triangle shaped side folding butt stock ( just like type 56-2).

Since the NATO has advanced a lot in the 556 ammo which need high and fast rate of twist to stabilize the projectiles , i wonder if any of you friends know about the rate of twist in these rifles .

Shall be grateful for the input .

Hope i have posted in appropriate section.

not banned, prohibited. if he has the correct class he can aquire it

I'm guessing he doesn't as new brand AK can't be registered to the public. What is in public hands is all that will be in public hands currently.

No new prohibited guns can be imported for sale to the public, even those with the proper class of licence.

Of course this guy might be from somewhere other than Canada.

Edit: this guy is from Pakistan. At least that is what his post history shows.

Norinco/Polytech AKs in .223 are 1:9 twist and should stabilize most bullets. Please post a photo when you receive the gun, it sounds interesting! Cheers from Canada, sir!
