AK-74s in Canada?

Haha! If you can even find the valmet to start from for $2ooo, you're laughing, I sold both the last two I parted with for $3ooo, and that's just the base point, you need the AK74 parts, the ton of work that goes into it, the refinishing etc. Think more like $4ooo or more.

Close, I was told about 5K for the whole refurbish..

I've never seen an AK74, but I found some fired 5.45 steel casings at the range, so there must be some people around who have them.

collector source had a pile of them in the late 80's. I remember they were being sold as russian but they looked east german if I remember correctly.

I remember someone had an advert in gunrunner about ten or fifteen years ago.. I think it was a set of two.. with some ammo. Maybe it was even 20 years ago.. we are not getting any younger.

Just so everyone knows how evil AK's are, every time someone thinks about an AK God kills a kitten.

I remember someone saying a Calgarian had 2 for sale but that was a while back..I saw a few of them around, so they are not as rare as one would think..

I shot a Krink once.

So has my wife, she loved the little 5.45x39 round. Loud, but no recoil to speak of... fun fun fun!!!

Cheers

A Remington 700 chambered in 5.45x39. Nice varmint/target set up?
I don't think the round has the stability with the standard twist to hold accuracy much beyond 200 yards. Very similar to the first issue 55 grain 5.56 that destablized very quickly with any interference (rain, leaf, strong wind)
