AK Magazine dimentions Please.

I have an idea for a drop in adapter for the SKS to be able to take AK magazine. I know that this has been done with modification to the magazine itself, but I have a plan, i want to see if it will work.

So can anyone provide me with the dimensions of an AK-47 magazine? I am looking for the thickness and the length from front to back at the top. Detailed Pictures would also be nice and would help me with my scheme.

Also, where might i find a cheap magazine for testing? one that functions, does not have to be pretty.

Thanks, I think I have found a lead on a five rounder, but I realized my bank balance is not in my favor. So my experiment will have to wait a few weeks until next payday.

I will try to keep updating, I think this might work, but I have to see where the magazine will sit to find out.
