AK side mount for Type 81: easy, cheap and steady

EthanW utilized one. But also decided to mount it on the opposite side which is not how the system is intended to be set up, but idk, maybe it works great ?

I think there's no one perfect mount for the type 81 because how it performs depends on how a person can set it up.

RS regulate mount allows adjusting the tightness of the mount, which counters the recoil, I've set the zero at 50m, and so far no problemo, at least the mount is still fixed, but if I engage paper targets 200-300m (I haven't, and most likely will not), the red dot may max out the windage, you know, the common curve of the rifle. I can't even tell how well it performs within certain rounds count, observation and testing required no doubt, only time will tell.

I have configured the set up to meet my target practice needs, and I'm ok with it for now.

RS regulate is not the best, it offers more adjustments, and costs more $, and by saying this, I am now too broke to try other options.

How did you attached the suppressor? I like the way it look.

The muzzle is in the middle of the suppressor so is it safe to shoot?

Threaded to 14X1 and used a thread adapter to attach the 30 caliber brake.

The unit is a brake integrated with reversed style mock suppressor, the muzzle is very close to thoses ports. That portion adds about half inch to overall length.

I am going to attempt to tactical timmy my type 81 lmg, I already ordered the zhukov stock, but I need to figure out a handguard as the barrel is quite a bit thicker and I doubt the zhukov handguard will fit. I am gonna get the pistol grip you suggested, and I need to figure out how to put an optic on it. any suggestions would be appreciated.

TI is supposedly close to releasing a rail that somehow attaches to the rivets on the side with no drilling. No pictures yet, but they've been talking about the various stages of its design and construction in various Type 81 threads on CGN.
