AK side mount for Type 81: easy, cheap and steady

I didnt buy my type 81 to turn into bubbas next abortion.

That's better suited for more commerical and modern AK look a likes like a vz58.

Destroying a real chinese surplus rifle with silly scope mounts is really dumb.

Any time I see a bubbad 81 I wonder why the person didn't Stick to destroying their SKS.

Answer: more money than brains

1. well, this is a modern manufacturing/ remake, not a surplus rifle
2. many if not most buy it as an AK substitute/ approximation
3. folding stock may be regarded friendlier for a modern dress; yes, unfortunately, folder is 7.62 and not 5.45-that would be super
4. even if folder is regarded as akm approximation-later versions and those for special forces had a side mount, so three holes for the side moun is not bubba really
5. finally, do not be jealous, this rifle price grow will not be comparable to that of real surplus rifles, including sks, mosin, svt

Love the work you’re doing with the Type 81, I ended placing an order for one!

I'm not sure optics are good for the type 81 since most of the trunnions are rivited in crooked.
well I can get <1moa at 25m (2-3 at 100m) with red dot and 1-2moa at 25m (3-4 at 100m) with open sights, so I guess, optics has its room

VZ58 is more what? Type 81 a real surplus? thats a good one. you have no idea what you are talking about.

you better check the date of manufacture , its in front of the serial number.

Good for u man! The real answer to ur question isnt "more money than brains" but rather; enough money, no fuks given about your personal values and the desire to make our own rifles "our own" any way we see fit.

Savvy?

Here as promised some time ago
My mod has 5-6MOA groupings at 100m with red dot and foggy weather.
As expected.
This T81 of mine is fine, but my SKS-KDs shoot much much better groupings

Cant see why it wouldnt with the right configuration.

Would have to consider the position of the side rail on the receiver tho. Too high and ull get a more then ridiculous chin weld. Making the RS regulate VZ58 a better option worth considering, but if the side rail is mounted to low then the RS VZ 58 mount wouldnt work at all.
