Akdal Ghost TR-01 pistol

Isn't there supposed to be some 22lr glock out from some non-glock company as well? I seem to recall it mentioned on this forum by a dealer.

I recently bought an Armalite AR-24 made by Sarsilmaz in Turkey. It is extremely well made. I don't know anything about this company but if the quality is similar I would be interested.

I don't think it's a glock ripoff, firearms evolve, and comfortable polymer framed handguns are what's doing in pistols today. As for thinking it must be crap because it's turkish, that's racist baloney.

Each firearm should be judged on it's own merit, not on prejudice.

Nah not prejuduce just an educated guess since nothing very substantial as far as designs has come out of Turkey.

I will stick with proven manufactures from the US like SMITH WESSON, COLT, SA, KIMBER, KAHR and MANY MANY others (I could probably fill a page). Also many euopean makes offer proven product like HK, SIG, GLOCK, WALTHER, BERETTA, CZ, etc. There are so many choices and proven designs from stellar companies why waste my hard earned dollar on a no name company??

I don't think you will find many guns made in Turkey on the hips of Law Enforcement Officers in North America.

I would not trust my life and safety on an unproven design from a country not known to excel in firearms design/manufacturing.

Why when the US has time and time again made it more and more difficult for us to import there firearms, components, scopes, ect. They keep putting hurtles up making it clear they don't want us to have there firearms. So we should look elsewhere. I agree with the European idea though.

i concur,
although i agree with the fact its getting harder and harder for us canadians toget american stuff, still . id be avoiding unproven countries firearms... infact i avoid crap in general. that means norinco, i think cz makes a fantastic product, and theres alot of soviet stuff out there thats top notch, but then again. they are known for making good firearm products ,. turkey, even ive seen the same sort of rip off copies from like serbia and croatia.
i do not think these are products worth bringing , no matter how cheap they are. i think if we get any cheaper products than norincos quality were just asking for trouble.

I've got a real glock, thank you...look at the barrel, look at the mag...very distinctive glock characteristics...I smell a lawsuit!

You sir are a racist. This is clearly a natural expression of brilliant Turkish engineering, envisioned first by the wise and benevolent founder of the young secular Islamic Republic and then forged by the Anatolian warrior gods. Just like the Mehmetcik-1 (which is not a copy of the HK416, I swear!), it represents the very cutting edge in 12th century (according to the Islamic calendar) small arms design.
