"Oh, is it one of those tactical ones? In that case our manager, Martin, will need to take a look at it."
So we go outside and he brings Ms TVPP her BT-99 and we open up the case. No hesitation, no questions about registration info, action, barrel length, or anything else he says:
"You can't shoot that here."
**snip**
He offered to loan me one of their range guns, which didn't work out (I said "okay sure" and he thought I said no) After a half hour of being ignored I said I wanted a refund, and got yelled at as a result. I was reimbursed for the trap tickets and Ms TVPP's gun rental, but was told "ammo is non-refundable." I left the club with a bad taste in my mouth and feeling disappointed that I wasn't doing any shooting that day.
I've heard now that some trap ranges have even gone a step further.
They allow only break-action guns on the trap range. No pumps or autos allowed.
See that blows my mind. I can totally understand "tournament rules" or something like that specific to competition, but on a daily basis?
That and vague rules that aren't explained or justified really grind my gears.
Nice review
FYI we will be bringing in quad rails for these guns and we have something else up our sleeves... mag fed and should be non restricted... the California model and a few receiver kits will arrive in Canada in a week for testing and to submit for FRT number..
