For what it's worth, I pulled the stock on mine to put a high gloss finish(can't stand the look of oil rubbed) on the wood yesterday & clean the action. After 4000 rounds, I can find no sign of any wear anywhere in the action. The metal work appears to be as well built and finished inside as the outside wood & metal work is on the outside.
