I'm looking to get my son his own 12g and he's a left handed shooter although he shoots my right handed silver pigeon well

His first time at the Vancouver Gun Club yesterday and he loved it.

He does not shoot very often so buying another $3000 Beretta is not a priority even though i don't know if Beretta offer a left hand version which if so probably may be even more expensive.

I've read good things about the 206 Churchill over/under, good value and a good gun ( they run around $1100 )

More importantly they make a left hand model which can only be an improvement for him.

I would really appreciate feedback as to this Churchill 206 if you own one or a friend that owns one.

I look forward to your input as i have done in the past.

I have a 206 in 28" that I've put over 2500 rounds through over the last two winters with no problems. I also have a silver pigeon that I use the rest of the year. The Churchill isn't in the same league in terms of fit, finish or feel but it's very good for the $$. A couple of friends also have a Churchill and haven't reported any problems. They were all very very stiff to open when new so much so that I made some mods to mine to make it easier to open (other threads explain how to). Make sure to actually shoulder the gun before buying - not sure if there's any difference between the field stock and the sporter (32") but the one I tried didn't have enough drop for me - the adjustable comb model was also too high. Yes, I thought about picking up the 32" as a backup for the SP1 that's how impressed I was with the Churchill. Others will say to just get a used B gun for not much more - that's always an option but I don't think you can go too wrong with the Churchill especially for the $$.
