Albanian SKS Bolt Carrier

Tapco used to make SKS bolts (not carriers) for $89.99. However, to have someone reverse engineer, design, machine, test and repeat would cost a great deal of money and time. If you could absolutely guarantee 100 or more sales, sure it would be cheaper. But anything less would cost a small fortune getting it right. Machining and 3D printing are not cheap, and are very time consuming. Also, looking at an SKS carrier, you have at least half a dozen milling setups/operations required, and a lot of material (likely pre-hardened to save time and NCRd parts) to be removed. Doing it right is not at all cheap.

Do you understand that an after market bold carrier cost 30$? Are they going to reverse engineer the knob and turn into a hook?

This argument is futile, sure it cost an small fortune to make an SKS bolt carrier.

Aftermarket from who? I see $30 bolt carriers, but they are NOS, not New, North American manufactured. Show them to me, and I will believe you. Until then, you have no ground to stand on.

These guys make a left hand SKS bolt carrier and an amidextrous one as well. Very pricey however. There is also a left hand one on eBay under the heading:[SKS] Bolt Carrier Custom Left Side Over Sized Bolt Carrier.
