hey fellas, anyone out there have some nice private land in Alberta that they would be willing to let a fello CGNer hunt on, i know it's a long shot but i'm hoping anyways. im not looking for a record buck just something to put in the freezer. thanks

I hunted Alberta last month for 10 days(Rocky Mountain Foothill), public land only. I saw 10+ deers on 2 hrs scouting(by truck) or 20+ deers for 3 hrs. everyday.

When I sat down to hunt, I saw from 1 to 4 deers, and fortunately, I got a little buck on day 5 after I passed 12 does for 4 days...

Not exactly answered your question, but don't worry, Alberta is a deer country, we are out numbered!!!...and we are happy too!

Where in Alberta?

If you get a map showing crown land and a map showing oil or logging roads you will get a deer. No need to hunt on private land.

Another easy on is finding a Huterite colony. They are usually very good about access.

I just got off the phone with buddy of mine in Grande Prairie.. tons of snow over 5 feet in some areas, i guess are being rescued out of the bush.. so I would hunt north if you can.
I was planning to head to GP for the 17th weekend... looks like I am changing my plans.
