The pic makes it look like it was a clear shot but it wasn't..

Normaly I go for a heart/lung shot but trees and all made me go for a neck shot..not my first choice but hey he had his tail up and what does that tell you??
Yes...one shot and he went down.....just below the spine but close enough to drop him..

It is called hunting for a reason, take the best shot you can(within reason of course).

I was once packing a 243 with a Tasco 3-9 on it. I was just into hunting and it was the first scope I had ever had, little did I know it was a piece. It would jar at the slightest bump. It took two Deer back to back in the neck when I aimed for the lungs, taking out the vertebrae each time (luckily) and no follow up was necesary.
