Alberta Draw Results

So I have been hunting for many years but am relatively new to the Draw system. I have been applying for antlerless elk in my zone and was at a priority #3 and I was drawn this year. My adult daughter who has been hunting since she was legally allowed is at priority #10 and was not drawn.

Forgetting that we are related for a moment, I feel that I would understand perfectly if I did NOT get drawn at P#3 but someone at P#10 did get drawn. That makes sense to me. The way it happened does not make any sense to me.

She phoned SRD and was basically told tough luck Charlie.

Does anyone have a better understanding of SRD's system to explain any of the logic attached to this system?

I got picked for antlerless Mule deer in 523 this year, was hoping to get that down in 108 again this year, there is something about hunting down there sitting and waiting for legal light and watching the sun rise up. 523 is where I live so I will gladly take it, even have the Mulie does hanging out in the 1/4 section behind my house, I am surprised I got this for this zone with a zero priority.
523 has a general archery bull moose season that I will be giving another try again this year, last year things at work kept me from getting out for all but a hour or so last season. Will be trying for another bull elk up here again this year seeing as I did not get drawn for suffield..... assuming that work does not keep me from getting out again the year.

Did your daughter apply with anyone else at the same time, if so, then the priority for the whole group application is that of the individual whose priority is the lowest.
So if your daughter was a 10 and someone else was a 2, they are both entered in the draw as a 2.

Nope, she applied on her own. Both of my daughters hunt on their own every year and have for years.
