Welcome to CGN!

I am sure the other gun nutz will have plenty of suggestions. When you get access check out the EE and see what's offered there.

Happy browsing! šŸ™‚

A shotgun needs to fit the shooter, so no I can’t suggest what would be good for you. To my surprise I shoot a Weatherby Element in 20ga. I went and tried one out and its just right for me. Most modern guns are pretty reliable so get what has a repeatable fit without having to adjust your hold after mounting it to your shoulder.

As for bird hunting I have no advice but I do agree with Ian about feel of a gun, if you see one on a site new or used I would see if you could find one in a local shop to handle first as stats and pictures do not tell the whole story. I personally like my Mossberg 590a1 with magpul furniture, it shoulders nice and feels right and shoots well although it is not a hunting style shotgun. My daughter of 12 shoots it as well with no issues. Sorry I am no help in the hunting category.

Good advice, thanks IanC
