Alberta hunting for B.C. residents

In 2004 my brother and I went hunting in Alberta, his buddy was our hunter host.
I am thinking of going back to alberta but don't really want to hunt with buddy again. His method of hunting was
much different than mine.

Do Alberta guides charge the same rate for Canadian residents as they do for U.S residents? Is there any other way a B.C. resident can hunt Alberta?
I suppose the other option is to just go to Saskatchewan, but the season is so short!!

You do know you must take 2 fiscal years off before coming back to hunt in AB. under a hunter host licence.(of course you did)
As for guides and outfitters, most of them are turning away clients so I would suspect the best deal would be that you get your hunt for CDN$ as opposed to US$. But form the few outfitters I know they are getting plenty of US clients so expect to pay the going rate.

Mainly I would like to hunt whitetail deer but moose would be a nice bonus too if at all possible.

Well you don't need a host to hunt whitetail in parts of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Moose is a different matter, but you can hunt moose in Manitoba in the open zones without a guide or host as well, but the better moose areas in the open zones are not the better whitetail areas..............

Is this in the regulations somewhere ? If so, I haven't seen it.

####, from what I read the 2 year intermission applies to non resident out of country "aliens", it dosent apply to non resident canadians from other provinces who can hunt every year with the same host. Least thats what I read, i think we need further clarification as the regs are somewhat ambiguous about this. the regs state:

# A Hunter Host may host a maximum of two hunters a year, either non-residents(canadian), non resident aliens or a combination thereof. If hosting two non-resident aliens, at least one must be a relative.

#may host non-resident Aliens only if the host has not hosted a non-resident "Alien" in the previous two fiscal years.

Seems we can host non resident canucks every year but only host Aliens/foreigners every third year. Apparently the foreigners can also hunt every year but that must be done with different hosts????
