Alberta Long Range Challange 2010 Registration Information. (Update page 1)

Genesee is looking good boys, out there yesterday putting some rds down range warming up for the shoot. Should be outstanding in May.

Is the shoot sold out? Are there any solo shooters that need a partner? My dad would be interested if there are any spots, and/or if someone needs a 2nd.

From what I understand all the spots have been filled for a while but Mutt would have to confirm that.

hey mutt... what is the course of fire for sunday going to be? how many rounds, what type of shooting positions, times ....alll the goods? i should start shooting one of these days if the weather ever smartens up. thanks

FOR SUNDAY FINALS
every team will need 64rnds (32 each) and all four rounds will be shot in the prone position. there will be a number of times both spotter and shooter will need to shoot at the same time. also this year will be the HARDEST year for difficulty of targets so i hope everyone has been practicing.

so mutt the 800 is a go for sure? all targets will be 500 -800? just over 2 weeks.....and the fnnnn wind and rain is still here. are we shooting rain or shine? rain out dates?

500m to 800m, Mutt is building new targets as we speak.

Shooting rain or shine! Lets all hope it's nice out!

There will be no tarps or tents this year so bring extra gear to cover your equipment and yourself if need be.

Another change to note is other than a simple bipod (Harris, Versa pod, ect.) you can only use a sock style rest for the back of the gun or in the window if you want.

No bunny ear bags or extra supports are allowed this year. You can use your partner if you like but thats it. No rolled up jackets or milk crates, or any other improvised rests/seats, just gun, bipod, shooting sock, and partner if you want.

If you have any questions you had best ask Mutt before the shoot.

that would include ruck sacks then i assume?

Guess I better trade the rear monopod in for the rear bag. So is everyone getting excited or what? The Drayton Valley crew will be out at genesee for several days before the shoot logging some last minute trigger time as I just picked up an AICS 1.5 and am contemplating using it in the shoot. Might be pushing my luck, but I can't just leave it at home. Look forward to seeing a few of you out at the range, and the rest at the shoot.
Good luck all.

We have a number of teams that have had more than enough time to get there entry fees in and have not so i am opening up four spots for the shoot. First come first serve.

man mutt you run a hard operation:nest: can't they pay after the shoot??:jerkit:.......kale, look forward to seeing you there, finally got away from new foundland?

Why not pay up like everyone else, if you cant afford to pay the entry fee prior, dont apply for the shoot especially when theres more than enough teams that want to shoot and are willing to pay the entry fee upfront. It's not Mutt's responsibility to be tracking down or hassling guys for entry fees after the shoot cause sure as s**t....

im getting sick of calling the same people 2 or 3 times to get money in. we all have enough on our plates for this year and i dont have time to do it.

just to clarify, i was trying to be funny, but i guess my old school ways are not funny any more:confused:, sorry if i irked anyone.....NOT. i have paid and will be there, also mutt i am trying to get up there on thurs to help with setup, will let you know in the next couple days.
