Alberta Long Range Challange ******Results & Rest of Pics Added******

doug and myself (cb bandits) were shooting 7mm's at 2900+, i agree that the higher bc does help a person in the wind and such, when shooting 30 cal lower bc bullets the need to be able to read the conditions is more important/ less forgiving. but on the other hand i don't know how you would set up such a shoot with two seperate categories. in the end the fun factor is great no matter what. great shoot guys. will be there next year....maybe i need a 300 mag now that i think about it!!

Hi Dave; thanks again (Mutt & Chad also)for the very cool week-end of fun!!
Lookin' forward to my new 6.5X284, soon as possible.
Allready e-mailed Corlane's and said thanks alot. Plan to compete for years to come.

Yep pretty cool prize, and all I got was a hat, although it is a nice hat. Makes it a lot more fun when there is some great longe range shooting related products to be won at an event like this. Please don't forget to thank the sponsors guys.:)

Maby next year I'll build the rifle we give away? How does a 7mm WSM on a trued up rem or maby even a Stiller action sound?

CKW, I'll have the transfer number for you sometime tomorrow and you can come get the rifle sometime this week. I'm back out of town now but I left it at my Dads place for you to pick up once the transfers done. It was nice to see a guy who could really use this rifle win it. Congrats, again!!!:D:D

Pics Soon. Photo Bucket is really slow tonight:mad:.

Here's a pic of the targets on the 700m berm. The cold bore shot was made on the yellow "VIP" target with grey "bodyguard" targets on each side. Points were deducted if the grey targets were hit.

Just to clarify any potential wrong impressions with my acquaintances, the photo of the Asian gentlemen in the photo with the caption "Here's our Favorite heckler..." Is NOT me (Pikachu)

For the record, my earlier statements (which were expressed on the earlier, now deleted thread) have not changed. In fact, they have been verified to be correct.
