Haven't gone opening day in years...but going on Tuesday. Going from Calgary to Brooks area early AM. Really need to get out and tramp around the countryside.

From what I hear you will have a lot of fun "Tramping around the countryside" and if you see a pheasant it will be a big bonus.

Man, I sure hope you have better success than us here in south sask... I've lost track of how many Kms I've walked without seeing a single rooster. Among the guys I hunt with, we've shot 4 since Oct. 1. I'm giving up and going for waterfowl for this year.

I remember those days. Haven't gone out for a few years since I lost my hunting partner ( the black and white one) . There wasn't many days when the group of us didn't limit out. She was the most awesome bird dog ever to hit the bush.
