Alberta restricted transfer

Got through today approved my last buy but... they cant email the transfer notification as the internet/network/portal is down??? And they would have to mail out the notification to me... so that sorta sucks.

8/21 went for further review to registry as mag capacity was in question.. so sat for 2 months with them and just went to cfo here a week or so ago. M&P kit from prophetriver incase anyones waiting. 60067xx

Do any of you guys know how this works - I bought a new pistol from an Ontario retailer Sept. 7th, no email yet, nothing showing on the RCMP list of my restricteds (if I try to do an ATT). Does the Ontario origin of purchase go through Ontario CFO or Alberta where I live ?

How exactly do you see your list of restricted on the RCMP website? I don't see anything when I login.

thanks!

Basically use the online ATT request form and say you want to transport your restricted firearm for other. It will populate a list of what restricted firearms you have registered to you, where you can select which restricted firearms need an ATT.

But pending transfers won't show up since those firearms aren't registered to you yet.

It goes to the cfp then to the alberta cfo for processing. Nothing will show up on the site. Its dumb that they don't directly just list your registered guns. Like others said go into the att tab and you'll eventually see what is on your account that has been transfered only.

Private Restricted Transfer - Help

Anyone having luck getting through to initiate a private sale restricted transfer? I called in Friday with no luck and tried the Alberta 9026 extension with no luck. Is anyone getting through or have any tips? Plan to keep calling today and see what happens.

I was able to start and finish 2 transfers this morning in AB, just turn off show my caller id and call the 800 then ext it works, but you have to give it a few tries as there system is redirecting id calls, as at 8:30am mnt i spoke to an agent,

72 days and counting, not a peep.
Aug 6, Tokarev TT from Bullseye North, Ont. shop to Alberta peasant.
When Alberta CFO was provided with OT $ to handle transfers for that couple weeks, I bought two handguns from Prophet River and hand them in my hand in 5 days.
Now, what frustrating, pathetic service from a Fed. Gov. that has no interest in improving service.

Well 35 calls later, 30 minutes on hold (finally did not just get disconnected) and transfer initiated. The lady was super friendly and let me conference call in the buyer so that they buyer did not have to call back with the reference number. That step in itself would save alot of time I imagine. See how long for approval now on Alberta - Alberta transfer.

35 isnt to bad actually..

Finally got through today and had my 3 transfers approved, spoke with Nancy who was very nice.
August 17th, September 5th, and September 30th purchase dates.

What ext. did you use if you don't mind me asking? I called 1 8000 731 4000 ext 1040, was on hold for 40 minutes and all the girl said was to call back in 2 weeks. She wouldn't do anything else. I called ext 9026 earlier and all I got was "unable to handle this request call back later" Have 2 transfers started Aug 18. Everyone else seems to get their transfers. Anybody have some ideas? Thanks.

The 9026 extension works or else type 142 after the 1800 number connects. Both might be worth trying until you end up on hold instead of constant disconnect.

I called and for the first time the lady who answered said she couldn't process my purchases BUT she did finalize a couple of transfers for two pistols that some Non -Albertan CGNers had purchased from me back in July. Very bizarre, she sounded very weary compared to the more cheery ladies who fast tracked my buyer transfers so far. I'm still happy I can send the pistols to some happy CGNers!!!
