Alberta restricted transfer

Great experience just now. I called, used the 9026 extension. Waited 20 mins here at 1:30pm. Talked to Sheri. Super nice and friendly.

I live in Alberta and purchased from an Alberta retailer. I didn't have a reference number. She said no problem, I'll look it up. She quickly found it. She then asked if I'd like to wait on hold for a couple minutes and she would process it. Yes please. Less than 5 mins later: "All done. Look in your email. You should see a copy now." Yup, Thank you so much!

Tried that ext for two transfers. Nice lady, after about 45 minutes on the phone. Sadly, because they are prohibs, she couldn't do it. So, more waiting. - dan

I’m still waiting for mine. Been just about 8 weeks now. June 21. And apparently the CFO office is only open from 0900-1500 lol. I guess they are only working 6 hour days now. Can’t get through to them at all, except for yesterday. Got to the hold line finally but as soon as the clock struck 1500 they said they were closed. My ref is in the 594###x area.

The passport offices are doing the same thing. They refuse to work outside their hours even with the massive workloads and backlogs. I had the unfortunate unpleasure of the passport gongshow recently. They waste time and your money floundering around and pretending to work on the computer while you wait hours as a single customer.

The cfo quoted 8-10 weeks for me today.

Perhaps time to call the federal MPs and light a fire under the ass of these idle bureaucrats and union workers.

Thanks for sharing. That's encouraging. I shall keep trying then. I got a very passive aggressive representative the other day, stated there was nothing he could do for me without a reference number. It sounded like he has green or blue hair over the phone.

I called the CFO office about 12 days ago, and I think we might have spoken to the same person. He was very impatient and in the end, he told me to never call him again for the transfer.

From what I've been reading, it sucks for everyone. Seems that the AB CFO is better than most so, personally, I'd cut them some slack but that's just me.

I sold a restricted firearm to a guy in Nova Scotia. We completed the transaction on Monday August 15th. I received the transfer email form the Nova Scotia CFO Wednesday while I was at my range. I thought it was a mistake. Obviously smaller province with smaller population and even smaller restricted firearms population.

I spoke with a lady at the Alberta cfo today. She said they are still working thru June transfers. She put me on hold for three minutes and completed my transfer from mid June

Phoned the 9026 extension and after a 29min phone call an AB to AB transfer was completed. Very freindly albeit tired of lame excuses lady helped me out without issue.

Transfer was started Aug 9th.

On my 18th attempt to call the Alberta CFO office this morning, and a 23min phone call, I got my recent purchase approved.

Purchase Aug 1, 2022
Transfer Submitted Aug 2, 2022
Transfer approved Aug 22, 2022 (while on the phone with the Alberta CFO office)

I just phoned in to check one of my purchases from 2 months ago, but got all my pending transfers approved at once. The lady that took my call was very nice and extremely helpful, hats off to AB CFO, great job at helping us gun owners.

Called in this morning using the extension. Was on hold for 20 min and then a 2 minute chat with the lady and everything was approved. Maybe mornings are a better time to call?

Just had one from June 4th go through, didn't call, just let the machine work....

Mine from June 3 went through yesterday finally
Today i get an e mail from Tenda stating they want more money for shipping? lol
It just never ends, has this happened to anyone else?
