The ASCA held their provincial championships last weekend at Beaverhill Sporting Clays, north of Tofield, AB.

The weather was in the high 20's, light breeze, clear skies.
THere were 25 stations, 4 pairs each for 200 targets straight through. Smooth registration, quick score keeping, and flawless equipment made for one of the best shoots i have attended year.
I have posted the prize winners below. Complete scores will be posted on the CNSCA.CA website in the next few days.

numbers

Wow

That seems like a very small number of shooters for the Provincials? Been a couple of years since I was at one but seemed to me there were twice as many folks. FS

I think that the ecomomy is keeping some away and some are soured by the association and attendance at registered shoots in general is down. Other than the elite and or died in the wool sporting shooters, many are dropping out.

You think Sporting has a problem with declining numbers, try a trap shoot these days...

That being said we are getting 12-15 shooters for regular practice.

Good to see some Lloydminster names in the mix.

Lloydminster did very well, It seemed that the further they drove, the more they won. GP did well. It would have been nice to see some Lethbridge and Blairmore shooters there. ( If I didn't see you, please call me on it. I tried to say HI to everyone.)

A few planned to attend prior to the venue change. I could not make it - damn summer weddings...:)

Registered trap is really down in the Calgary area as well however the Mossleigh Club Tuesday evening summer league fun shoot had about 18 full squads for 9 weeks. Lots of new shooters as well as ATA drop outs.:D
