My friend Ackley… the Infidel!

So I did what I do when I am bored, headed down to ATRS. Dustin being the awesome guy he is, pulled one the ATRS Maverick/Infidel actions out. After explaining the list of features on it “Ohhhhh NOOOOOO!” my wallet screamed.

Build took 7 months and is comprised of:

ATRS Infidel action
A Rock Creek barrel finished at 24” in M40 contour in 260AI
A standard Timney 510
AICS 2.0 finished it off with some viper skins in Coyote Brown
Cerakote the action and barrel in Patriot Brown.

Total time for this was around 7 months of waiting. I already have some ideas for a hunting rifle….

Fortunately beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It always make me wonder if precision shooters are really that clumsy to require such monstrous bolt knobs. As ugly as it looks I am sure it will be a great shooter and you will be very happy with it.

Thanks guys! Took it out to the range today to test a fire forming load and results were pretty good for choosing a "random" load
The stock actually came from our very own Tomochan and the viper skins were ordered directly from Victor Company in the USA. No border issues and reasonable shipping! This configuration feels perfect to me over the regular AICS thumbhole.

First shots at 100 yards were bore sighted and then made scope correction for the following 10 shots at 0.41" centre to centre.

Really looking forward to getting started with load development.

That initial group should shut up the haters. Pretty or not, it seems to work. Nice rig.

Load development looks like it's not going to take very long...
