Albertans

It's all a pile of crap. They got all that money in the first month I bet, and more, they will give a bit of it to the public and they will think they have the world by the tail, then Ralphy can do whatever he wants with the rest from the next month and so on.... we should be getting that $400 every month that the price is over .90.

It seems like real life has kicked me in a tender spot this year, or should I say in the pocket book, my wife and I will use it for paying off bills or put it towards finishing the basement. The kids cheques will go in their bank accounts.

Perhaps I will eventually meet up with Lazy Ike, and pass him a couple $20's so I can ride in the trunk out to the next sheep hunt he goes on. :?

Sorry Johnny Y, it ain't my fault my Great Grampa got tired of Ontario back in the 20's and moved west. Enjoy your Liberal government!

The trunks already spoken for Noel, how do you feel about bumperhitching? I've got some thick gloves and 2(two) different sizes of roller skates??

There are two significant differences between Ralph Klein's vote-buying scheme and Ralph Goodale's. Klein doesn't need to buy the votes, Goodale does. And Klein actually will give the people their money from the oil revenue, regardless of whether it gets votes, whereas Goodale never will actually return that budget surplus to the taxpayers, no matter how many votes the Liberals get for it.

Not buying any votes for King Ralph, he is stepping down prior to next election.
Now...400 smackeroos...sounds like a good down payment on something...

Well, I was going to buy a new scope, but by the sounds of it I should stick with the one I got now..

Damn good thing Apple just came out with a brand spankin new video iPod today, now I have somewhere to sqaunder that $400! Woohoo!

Everyone is getting a cheque here in Alberta, 'cept for those in prison and those behind in child support payments.

Crap! So much for that. How good do rollerskates stand up to driving those gravel roads? I guess I could weld up a bracket to bolt a lawn chair down to the bumper, classic white trash! :?

Does anyone know if you are still eligible for the check if you work out of province?

And just where do you and Colin think you're going to find 72 virgins? And as far as buying BC... you'd better act quickly, before Gordon Campbell and His Merry Band sells it to the Americans.

Yes Albertans get a $400 check this year. We also received two checks a few years back for $150 apiece if I recall correctly, and we also get rebates on our home electricity and natural gas bills starting this month (Oct) and going till March. It goes without saying that we already pay the lowest income tax in the country.

To those poor individuals who have not discovered that life truely is BETTER in God's Country, what has YOUR government done for you lately?

You forgot to mention that Albertans pay only 7% GST. :)

After the bastards charged us $1.30 a litre for gas, the least they could do is send us something back.......glad I have 4 kids.......

Ralph pulls this every time. but at least he isnt giving it to some governemnt crook in Quebec to deliver cheques to other government crooks in Ontario.....

And Im not slamming guys from Ont and Que....far from it. Just those government crooks. Those bastards steal from all of us, from the BC forests to the Inuit. Liberals have to go, one way or the other

We pay only 7% GST here, too. And we don't pay PST on lots of things (because we make shopping expeditions to Alberta.)

Some guys on Albertaoutdoorsman suggest giving at least a portion of their prosperity cheque to Bruce Montague. Seems like a good idea to me.
