Albino Moose Pics

As for the spirit moose, the natives probably on the way with the freezer trucks and high cap mags, they did that down in the cypress hills about 15 years ago, only recently have you started to see moose around here again.I either got to get that law repealed or marry me a native chick

Yup, that's a piebald (sp?) moose, not an albino.
There was a pic of an albino calf going around, but I'm not sure where it was taken.

you've seen a "a few white moose in your day" moose hunter?
Which day was THAT, wednesday, ot maybe Thursday?
To becoame the real deal, you gotta spend some time, pay some dues, and quit the B.S. son, otherwise you're going nowhere !

Great pic's, thanks for sharing them. I've seen a few other pic's along the same line. If I happened on one, I really don't know what I'd do. How about the rest of you? Any comments or insights?

I have seen a white deer and took a picture of it after I realized it was not a goat. There was 3 other normal coloured deer running with it. I did notice that the white deer did not run as well as the other 3 and when it tried to jump the fence it took 3 attemps before it jumped over. The albino moose does not appear to look as strong as a normal coloured moose, has anyone noticed that they do not look as healthy or is it just me?

I was thinking the same thing. If the regs in BC mention not to shoot them so others can 'enjoy' them, I'm thinking natural selection speeds up the process for these white critters. Maybe it's just the coloring, but this guy doesn't seem quite fit to stride thru a bog??

I believe that the "white", "albino", "piebald"(or whatever)moose have already been added to the Ontario Hunting Reg's as a no-no for hunter's just this past spring. ( for some W.M.U., but not all),,takes effect this fall.
.. I think the Native Spiritual thing was the basis for it,,not sure though

sacred spirit moose

I would bow to the sacred spirit moose every time I pull a steak out of the freezer wonderful photos.:)

In our neck of the woods, for several years guys have reported seeing albino mule deer in this one small area. We saw an albino mule deer doe a year ago, while on the way to work, in that area. It was wierd!

Someone mentioned that albino animals don't see well, based on the reactions of the doe we saw that day, I would agree. That deer acted like it was nearly blind. I believe the lack of pigment in the eyes causes them to have serious issues with sunlight. Whether or not that makes them blind I'm not sure, but crappy vision I believe.

Man should not be playing God by attempting to legislate the preservation of mutants!!

The reason deer are brown: Natural selection.
IMHO rather then protect them let nature take it's course!!

The idea of protecting a mutant albino or piebald is retarded.

They wiped out the elk about the same time. The elk recoverd pretty well.

A freind shot a whitetail near Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. It had white hooves, like ivory. He kept them, but someone heard about them and they mysteriously went missing. I think they were taken from the cleaning shack.
