ALERT!! FAKE ANTIQUE 455 caliber SCHOFIELD ON Gun Broker

Theres a Fake Schofield listed in the Antique Section of Gun Broker in the USA

ITEM # 127032427

Just want to warn anyone thinking about it.
I emailed the seller that its a modern repo made up with VERY Fake British proof marks and marked in 455 Caliber

tho he admits it chambers 45 colt as the Navy Arms Repo cylinder do because there longer than the orignal guns 45 Schofield cylinders.

He has not Replyed or Altered the Add.

Its a nice looking gun but obviously a fake.

No its around $3300 US or so starting bid with like two days left outa the 6 it started at and 0 bids.
Just type in that # at GB you will see.
I think the guy was taken at a gun show thinking it really was Antique when he bought it.

The Length of the Cylinder look at the gap or lack of gap between the front of the cylinder and the barrel lug.
then go look at a couple Real schofields.
I can see lotsa things like Schofield never made even one gun in 455
the Rachet.
the Schofield writeing on the barrels side its ALL wrong.

The proof marks look like homer did them with a dremel tool.

Who ever did it tryed hard but FAILED

I see he has ended the auction. That 'ivory' looks awfully white. Antique ivory that I've seen has a yellowish cast to it.
