ALERT! P225 At Firearmscanada

There's lots of 12(6)'s around that were legally imported before 1995. In fact one guy I ran into there has an entire safe FULL of unused 12(6) he bought when the prohibition was announced.

YA, BUT...the 225 is the newest of the SIG pistols...less than a year on the market I belive.

I'm not sure what your thinking of, but the P225 is a compact, single stack version of the P2?? series.
Like this one I sold a while back. I hope the present owner doesn't mind me posting this pic.

No it is still in production and still issued to military and police units around the world.

Unless the object is to be compact.

The pistol was originally bought during the gulf war to arm sea king pilots that required something compact and had excellent safety features. The Browning just didn't fit the bill. I believe 1050 pistols were altogether bought with some being given to the naval boarding parties, because they again needed something compact with good safety features.
In my opinion the P225 is a adequate pistol and fits the bill.

Nope, strangely enough it predates the P226, I never found them to be bad - single stack means smaller grip, otherwise it's typical Sig (excellent)
