Alex Robinson needs a kick in the nuts

yes..."fixed".

Just like other well known firearms. Seriously, we all know you are hater. Give it a rest.

You will claim you aren't a hater but you show up in every thread to bash this gun one way or another. If you can't see that having the XCR available in Canada is a good thing then I can't help you.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I don't need your "help".

Incidentally I have never said, ever, that having the XCR available in Canada is not a good thing. I have only ever said that it's a mediocre rifle.

Furthermore, if you type "xcr" into the search engine, and look at the last hundred threads in the black rifles forum, you'll notice I have posts in about a dozen of them. So I definitely don't post in every XCR thread...in fact I ignore about 90% of them.

I actually thought misanthropist's post was pretty damn funny. Gotta give him a couple points for creativity.

Seriously, I've said this before, its not doing any of us any good to just point and scream "hater" like a 17th century witch hunt.

Keep up your ten percent then.

I am keeping up my ten percent...why do you think I posted in this thread?

Seriously, it was a joke...I realize Loctite is mildly caustic but the degree of exposure some XCR owners seem to have suffered has left their skin incredibly thin.

You are probably a great guy. I don't dislike you just to be clear. I realize it was a joke but it shows up in practically every thread. Even people who read this forum and don't own an XCR can't figure out why it draws so much controversy.

Some guys have made wild claims as to how good the XCR is, including the owner of the company. Just ignore them. The XCR is what it is.

Okay there we go, resolution.

Now lets get this thread back on topic to bashing Alex Robinson for not producing a high quality, flawless rifle quick enough!

also: how do the sights work on the m96 with the top feed configuration? or is it accuracy through volume?

So let me get this straight.... if the rifle is released early and has problems ...it's Shyte...

If they take the time to design and build it properly..... it taking too long and it's Shyte...

Ok got it...!!

I LOVE Robinson Arms... lol. It could be worse, they could be an HK product distrubuted through R. Nichols...

The difference is that HK puts out a quality product and openly admits to hating civilians.

Robinson Armament has never produced a high quality rifle that was flawless, why should we expect one now?

very few manufacturers have ever produced a high quality rifle that was flawless, why should we expect one now?

fixed it for you. haha

I was making a bit of a joke, any rifle, no matter what, will always have someone, somewhere will have an opinion about something on the rifle.(weight, $, time frame, barrel twist, construction, material, action, trigger, allen screws over push pins)

try finding a platform/rifle/brand on CGN that has everyone harmoniously agree is a flawless rifle.

Is that the thing that goes up? :D

HK does not hate civilians, they just love those who can pay and do not care about those who are not in their market.

So lets say the XCR-M is a dud, Alex Robinson fails and RobArms goes out of business. So what then?

Will those who love to hate Alex Robinson will feel smug and say "I told you so..." Will the rest of Canadian gun owners who have been patiently waiting to buy the XCR-M go rushing off to buy an AR, HK, Norinco, RCB, Sig or whatever.

Maybe the Harper government will de-restrict the AR so we can all go hunting with the .223 like in the USA... sure. Perhaps there will be a surge in shorty Norc conversions.

Maybe what we the Canadian gun owning public will get is just one less firearm manufacturer selling in Canada and just less choice. Then some can look across the border, cry in their beer and be happy #####ing at the unfairness of it all. And look for a new Alex Robinson to ##### about.

Wolverine puts you on a list, they don't charge anything to be on the list, they don't ask for a deposit. What's the problem? Sure it would be nice if the XCR-M was in stock at Wolverine. But if anyone can't wait any longer - its a free country, go buy something else. I waited a long time for a product promised by a Canadian manufacturer (that I won't name - we don't need any more #####fests on CGN) and when I got tired of waiting bought from someone else.

These threads are lame. Maybe its time the mods lock/close this and other similar threads down.

Having an opinion is one thing. Supporting it with fact is quite another. Given ROBARM's track record alone, they have never produced a high quality flawless firearm.

Having the option to choose an inferior rifle does not promote the firearms community within Canada. An increased selection of quality firearms does.

Many consider the Norinco M305 inferior to the Springfield M1A. You will hear the same about Norc 1911 compared to Colts, etc. Yet the Norcs are used as shooters just as they are or as platforms to build upon.

I, my shooting partner, and many many others - not just firearm owners but Canadians that earn income by providing gunsmithing, parts, accessories and workshops - benefit from these 'inferior' firearms. Same goes for the Norc M4: inferior to some when compared to your Noveske, HKs, Stags, Armalite, etc.

Yet these guns sell and probably help keep some dealers in the black.

The Mosin Nagent M91 rifle is consider inferior by some to a German, Swedish or Yugoslavian mauser yet dealers are bringing these in from the Ukraine and selling them. Having the option to choose an inferior rifle does promote the firearms community within Canada. Go read the Milsurps threads.

Canadian firearms companies have grown providing upgrades for the 'inferior' parts on otherwise quality firearms - go look at the Banner ads or NEA and NEIT web sites for proof. I personally have given good money to NEA and Wolverine Supplies, both members of the Canadian firearms community, to upgrade my CZ 858.

If you consider the quality of new manufactured firearms as compared to rifles made years ago you will hear that these guns are inferior in workmanship (post '64 to pre '64 Winchesters, current Marlin rifles). Yet walk into your local sporting goods store and there they are on the shelf. Right next to the Norinco Coach Gun. Do these guns, inferior as they might be, not promote the firearms community? Would you rather see empty shelves?

When the XCR-M finally becomes available then it will sell or not based on its merits. The proof will be in the sales.

Answer this... If Robarms manufactures an inferior product, why is Wolverine Supplies selling the the XCR-L, XCR pistol and will sell the XCR-M when it becomes available?
