Hi all, I hope this is the right area to post this question,
I bought an Alfa Proj model 361 with the interchangeable cylinder for 22lr / 22 wmr. this gun also shipped with a new perch or pivot, the part the cylinder rotates on and swings out on. I can see no discernible difference in the one mounted on the gun, nor the one shipped loose in the box. The 22wmr cylinder came off easily, and the 22lr cylinder slipped on after loosening the mounting screw.
My question for the gunsmiths out there is (tried searching the web AND Alfa's site to no avail) short of finding someone with a mic to measure both pivots exactly, would it be conceivable that both pivot/mounts are exactly the same for the 2 different caliber cylinders? it functions smoothly, spins freely with no excessive play. I only ask as its my first revolver and I am assuming cylinder bore alignment are critical.
Thanks in advance!
