Alfa project 9mm revolver

Dads has a poor trigger, shoots decent, looks decent, wood grip needed sanding to fit properly, moon clips are expensive and don't always work. I would personally look somewhere else, but if it's in the budget, go for it.

Rough trigger out of the box, but that can be cleaned up. Also a reduced power spring kit is available. Wood grips need some fitting if you're picky. Moon clips are expensive but occasionally come up on the EE for cheap. But all that said it is a solid gun for a fantastic price, especially compared to the other limited options for 9mm revolvers out there. I've owned two.

Only had ours out a couple of times, we just got it, had a few minor problems with moon clips sticking when trying to eject them, but after cleaning up the cylinders a bit it seems fine now. Never owned a revolver before, and I know it's not a S&W, but it seems very well built, shoots accurately and imho, looks great. I'm enjoying it I gotta say, and the price is fantastic..I've heard moon clips are expensive a few times, but our local gun store is an Alfa dealer and I get the moon clips for $5 apiece, so I have no complaints there

I had a 4.5" for awhile. It was "OK" but certainly not up to the standards of my old S&W's or Colts. Nothing really compelling enough about it for me to earn it's safe space. They are good value for the money though.

Reduce power spring isn't available anymore. I asked Rusty who made them. I use mine in PPC and really only had issue with the moonclips. Blueline sells the Ranch ones for 4.99 and from my experience looking for the OEM ones, they're not out there ( 4 places and what they show and sell are different ). I happened to get some off the EE from a member and they were engraved blueline solution.

been looking at these myself, a 6" blued is $559 from wolverine supplies, so its a pretty attractive package considering a S&W 929 is $1300
what aftermarket parts would be available for these guns, or would any parts be interchangeable with other brands parts? ie: sights, grips, trigger parts?

Not much out there for aftermarket. A few wood grips they sell, and a mount. But that's about it. Haven't seen any sights. If you want a better trigger, your looking at sending it to a smith. Im not a double action person, nor am I a revolver shooter. But my first time shooting it in PPC, I scored my second highest score. Using DA only. You can adjust the trigger a bit by adjusting a screw.

I have one in stainless and am happy with it. Fit and finish almost on par with my Ruger gp100. The single action trigger is good but the double is pretty stiff. If anyone wants a reduced spring kit pm me as I have one. If you look around on the Web you can find moonclips at a good price.

The wood grip is very comfortable, but cocking the hammer for single action, the hammer would hit and sometimes not lock back. Was not hard to fix. Moonclips we have are finicky. Still not sure if the cylinder is not right or what. I assume its the clips, load them up and three of ten won't go far enough into the cylinder to even close. Need to spend more time with the Dremmel and see. The reduced hammer spring was not reliable, and put it to stock. It's a good gun, but my GP100 is better in every possible way.

Just a note in case anyone else is a lefty. Almost all the wood grips offered by Blueline have a thumb rest and are right hand only. (pictures on the site don't show that side)
