Wow! That test is so old it must have been written on papyrus.

Pretty negative but it was done on a very early production model, possibly even pre-production, judging by a comment about availability. If Alfa has improved its product, and I hope it has, this review is irrelevant. Guess we have to wait and see.

BTW, I have a soft spot for Czech engineers. When engineers worldwide can't figure out a problem, they look to see what the Germans have done. When Germans can't figure it out, they look to the Czechs.

This test was done 6-7 years back. No way they haven't made improvements since then. Having said that I wouldn't buy a new Alfa without holding one in my hands. I wouldn't purchase an Alfa over the internet.

Not a whole lot of info on the BL website but I'm with Kveldulf, I love Czech stuff and have a soft spot for "odd" revolvers.

Hope more info starts coming out.

I don't doubt they will be attractive but I have some concerns. The crane being such a narrow cut looks like an obvious problem spot to me, as this is one of the more common points for long-term wear on revolvers. Especially of guns with larger cylinders like the Taurus 608, when shot and used extensively in conditions like IPSC or IDPA, the crane has been reported to distort over time, making the gun unusable unless you're willing to have it extensively customized with a harder crane, or fixed over and over. I don't think these guns will have that same cylinder mass, but the reduction of the crane's size might create the same effect. The only way to see for sure is over time when somebody buys one and really uses it hard. I hope they turn out to be good solid guns so more people get into revolver division shooting.

Notice the four letters BRNO. Seems to me that generally means quality and t for sure means many years of experience producing firearms folks.
