Just curious how your getting such high velocity out of the .300 savage with a 20" barrell? Forgive me if this has been explained but it is a long thread and I may have missed something. Or is it a wildcat cartridge based on the .300? Great looking and practical rifle set up and looks like it is in the right hands for sure.

^^^ that is why we have choices! All you need is an 06 or 303 br. I have a 308,303,06 and don’t hunt with them. I hunt with a 280. a game animal can’t tell so why so many mid cals? Glad we can pick.

I was thinking this morning about a 300Savage (or a 35 Remington) on that faux TI 22-250 that's on the EE right now and not going anywhere.
