No, this rifle is german finished.
Phosphate was in full swing by late 44.
Walther using it for G43s, steyr using it for k98ks, and stg44s, gustloff using it on k98ks, mauser using it on k98ks, and p38s. Dual tone p38s show up in 44.
Any french finished rifle will have a star firing proof. And if the gun was finished then fell into french hands, they would have modified the sling arrangement.
