thought on the girsan??
I've held one and was actually quite surprised by how it feels (I'm a 226 fan...legion and scorpion), but haven't shot the girsan. It felt like it'd do alright.

Though I must confess owning a Glock 17, all my other handguns are metal. I'm a steel kind of guy...

Yes Bill: a weakness for sure but also lots of fun...

Dirk: Nice pair of shooters and great pics. Thanks

I have a Glock 22 AND a Hi-Point .45 ACP..... so no shame there..... although I must say that the steel in the Hi-Point slide probably has more metal than both those Sig's combined!

To be completely honest, I love the Girsan now. I was having problems with the slide not holding open on last round say 30% of the time but I over came that by re-installing the stock plastic grips instead of the rubber hogue grips, hard to explain why but it's an easy fix, only thing is that it shoots very high but I ordered an adjustable rear sight to fix that issue. Other wise it feels great, the trigger is fantastic in SA after replacing the hammer spring with the "D" spring, I would say it's very close to the SIG P226 SA trigger now, very easy transition between the two and just feels great in the hand and it's very accurate and also very pretty IMO lol. I would recommend it to anyone on the fence about it. I saw CRAFM selling a used one exactly like this one for $450! That's a steal IMHO. It also is a perfect pair to my CX4 9mm NR Carbine.

Seen this and was looking for an excuse to stop chopping wood, so I'll play....... ;) The 97 is 100% metal of one alloy or another. As was stated earlier I'm glad that I'm not that odd to have a strange hankering for a 10mm Longslide Glock, although it may cause a revolt in the safe!

My new to me Hi Power Mk III off the EE. I have some plans to subtly enhance this combat classic to make it one of my regular shooters. It has hardly been fired to judge by the lack of wear to the epoxy finish on the bearing surfaces of the slide and receiver rails. Score!
