I would really like one with a 12” barrel, a la the chiappa Alaskan rifles.

but I think it’s unlikely to be offered from Ruger as the American short barrel rifle laws.

45/70 mares lag perhaps?

i too hate my wrist and elbow and would love to have a 45-70 mares leg. be fun to not a pistol hunt a moose

Now that's an awesome rifle and is definitely on the list of wants 😀 wish I could pre order...
Missed the boat a few years ago when Marlin was selling then for $1300. Pre covid not going to miss this one.

I wish they would quit with the big loop! I rarely go shooting with big heavy gloves on! Is it possible to purchase a lever with a regular size lever?
I carried a 336 as my saddle gun for many years and never had a problem with a regular sized loop on my lever.

Thx for the update on no pre orders I'll keep my eyes open for when they are available...
I guess it's personal preference i love the Big loop .

Big Loop?

Because ; “Muh Rica!!!”

I can say that because all my Exes live in Texas and my Dad is buried in Lafayette, CA

I have both Big Loop GSBL 1895 and a regular loop on my 1895 Classic, but I keep a stainless Big Loop handy in case I cannot make up my mind.

That’s the stainless loop that’s presently sitting in the 22” 1895 Classic. Buy what works for you and YOUR game. And don’t forget yer cool factor! HahahahHa

Peace Be The Journey!

Cheers, Barney
