All-New: Type 81M

This strikes me as a lot more of a "dump on steel as fast as you can keep them on target" or "magdump into garbage with stock folded" rifle.
I doubt mine will ever see paper, those 3MOA groups don't impress anyone.

Works as intended, AK accuracy is deemed serviceable at 4-shots group being less than 15cm at 100m, as per it's operators manual. It's like 6MOA. My T81SE shoots 3.5MOA 10-shot groups on avg, pretty easy to consistently hit that 400m chest steel plate.

Can someone give a bent barrel report on these? I know the lineage of these comes from the LMG side of the Type 81 family but just curious...

there were only ever about a half dozen from the first import that were crooked

I checked this out on my underfolder that came in yesterday. The barrell is perfectly straight. The quality overall is good. No excessive give on anything, including the folding stock.

I'd have to check again with it folded, but from memory no. The folding stock and mechanism flet firm, not at all rattly. It does lock in with a click when folded up to the stock.

Wow, already a type 81m fixed stock on ####### for 2,650.00. Talk about an eye gouging price. I wonder who will be the stupid one stupid enough to pay this. Talk about greed and here it is.

Hey some people have money and don't care about paying more, maybe they have some rental properties or a business where money is practically free, but don't have time to sit on websites or missed buying it right after. Nothing wrong whit this guy selling so high business is business, if you don't like don't buy it's not for you but it might be for some one else. i don't understand all these people criticizing people who make money in this way, he has cash to invest let him, if I wanted one I would pay that price. How much do you think TI paid for these? $1,150?? lol

I think the difference between scalpers and TI is the amount of effort required to source their product. Yes both of them are charging a substantial markup, but TI has to source them, ship them, deal with poly, quality control etc... They bear all the risk. Whatever their markup is, I am happy to pay it because its a fair price to pay for all their hard work and because they bring unique value to the Canadian gun market. The scalper on the other hand bears little risk and adds no value to the gun community. I personally do not see the fact that he purchased it quicker than others as worth 1300 dollars.

POV you are the scalper

one can ask whatever they want for said owned item. If it sells it sells. Called Capitalism and free market.. Might look silly asking so much, however market will bear proper price in Time.. nothing changes..
