All-New: Type 81M

So some more things I noticed:

- The mag release freaking rocks, just that lightly larger change made it so easy to operate. Great addition
- The knurling on the sight leaf knob is finer now, my SA has much larger cut outs
- The machining is better on the M than the SA for sure. Although the blueing is nice on the SA, you can see improvements in the quality compared to the SA
- The rear receiver has a hole...#holegate (lol)
- The sling naturally seems to find my chin when I pull to get a site picture, the UF doesn't bother me all that much but it could rattle your teeth if you're too hard coming down
- The change to the lower handguard is excellent, it feels much better than the SA
- There is zero play in the underfolder when locked in for me

Overall, I like it the best of any of the T81's I've had. The side folder may be better to bring to the fire position, but that's all it has going for it imo - don't sleep on the Undyfoldy!

I’m in the same boat, order 273XX. Got the RCMP email and sent 2 emails to combine with my other order 284XX (decided to buy another one). I really hope they will ship together.

So 8 days out the door. That’s honestly not bad for the frenzie this was. Wish I hadn’t tried to play hardball on these and just bought on the first day, I think I’m like 283xx or so, ordered my under on the 16th.

For perspective my last ammo order from an unnamed vendor with a dragon in their logo took longer than that just to get it in the mail.
 
Folks so i know that this has been answered but i want to make sure that it is clear. Will the under folder work with the side rail only, not with the optic mount attached. Can someone provide the thickness of the side rail plz?

I went a little nuts, I bought 4 UFs with slings, 1x slant comp, and 1x AK74 brake. Had to wait an extra day to be able to E transfer that much money heheh.

No, it does not, too thick.

edit: The folding arms tighten to the end of the rifle and they are not the same distance away from the receiver. So maybe if one could shim the folding point a little to one side, it may work. I let others find out.

I don’t know how you guys do it, it must be real tempting to lash out back to some of the rude comments here. I applaud your teams effort in staying the course and chugging out orders, especially if people enter wrong info while buying their rifles. Must be mega frustrating!

Please keep up the great work that your team does, in my non-important opinion TI and RDSC are the coolest gun shops in Canada.
