All-New: Type 81M

It isn't very accurate - 3 1/2" groups at 75y. And I have cut myself on sharp internal edges when field stripping.
Came out of Lebanon when the Israelis invaded years ago. Sanitized. No national markings, only a serial number. North Korean, but not NK standard issue. PLO gun.

Still well within acceptable accuracy standards for even Russian military AKs and SKSs. That standard being a 4 shot group fired from the prone supported position being no larger than 15cm at 100m. For those who need an imperial conversion, that's 5.9 inches at 110 yards. Source is the Soviet manuals for both the AK/AKM and the SKS.

Ironically, that's also the current largest acceptable group size (15cm/5.9 inches) for the prone stage of the C7 PWT 1 prone position in order to score the maximum score for that stage, only with 5 shots instead of four.

As for my Type 81 order update, nothing since the RCMP verification.

Is everyone paying for shipping insurance?

Must be a lot of people looking for their CP delivery that hasn't shown up, eh? Hoping it arrives, in one piece.

Only Wish I could afford to buy that much stuff at once..

Received my underfolder and fixed stock. Fixed stock from above looks like a banana. Butt is definitely on a weird angle throwing alignment off. Also, magazine rattles like crazy when inserted. Meh. Underfolder is really cool. I actually like the UF more than the fixed stock. Total underwhelming purchase to be honest.

Would it be acceptable to Tactical Imports to have purchasers who cannot find the correspondences by other means Personal Message the Tactical Imports account on this forum?

UPS won't deliver guns, just ammo. I don't think anyone will, besides Canada Post.

Canpar and UPS deliver Guns and Ammo.

Just need to fill out dangerous goods forms and/or need to be a business with volume.

Half the guns and ammo I've purchased have been from Canpar and UPS. Unless something has happened very recently, they still do.

Recieved mine today. Overall quality is much better than the SE. I love the new paddle mag release, so much smoother and easier to use. Not a huge fan of the new forend, specifically the swell and flat bottom. Would be great for bench shooting but carrying and using on the move not as much, just feels less handy. That said it's not a huge inconvenience by any means, just a small gripe. Trigger is decent, much better than a run of the mill SKS or AK, better than the SE not as good as the SA original run. That said i think Overall id take an SA or SE over the M, but an M over the lmg or SR by a wide wide margin. Just feels a little less sleek. The handguard, and extra weight at the front just make it slightly less pleasant to hold and aim naturally idk. Again, small stuff it still is a fantastic rifle and i wish i bought another. The main thing will be the range. I will compare the accuracy with an SE, I don't anticipate any meaningful differences as neither the lmg or SR i found to be any more accurate than the SE. But we will see, I'll post some pics.

Now I know what the hole at the end is for. You push in it with a screw driver when re installing your top cover, works like charm without bending the spring and follower.

Have you seen the hole in the butt of the receiver? Same as SR to put the screw in for the butt stock.

The M is just a SR where the barrel is 18.6 inches instead of 20.

I compared them, zero difference otherwise.

Left over SR receivers, barrel cut a bit and different stock, lol. That's why no real folders came in this time.

What a joke.

Uhhh. Wut...lol you are aware the SR has a different reciever, different upper and lower handguards that are much longer, and a different gas system/length...right? Quite literally different than the 81M in every way lol.
